The story behind WoManiYa

Seven years of building a home-grown network for the women of Belagavi.

Our Founder

Led by a lifelong educator and entrepreneur

WoManiYa is led by a Belagavi-based entrepreneur and education leader who also runs an international school and multiple ventures across the city. Her recognition for contributions to education and social service reflects the same philosophy WoManiYa is built on: lift as you climb.

Under her leadership, WoManiYa has grown from a small circle of friends into one of the city's largest women's communities — regularly featured for its impact on local education and entrepreneurship.

Our Journey

Seven years, one community

2018

A small WhatsApp circle of Belagavi women becomes an idea worth building on.

2019 – 2021

Membership crosses 10,000; the first WoManiYa Bazaar gives local sellers a stage.

2022 – 2024

The WoManiYa directory and jobs board launch; community crosses 25,000 members.

2025 – Today

32,000+ members strong, with WoManiYa Youth Wing extending the mission to the next generation.
